A. Here are the basics including our schedule and directions to the church.
Q. Do I need to dress up to attend?
A. Dress comfortably--our members and guest attend in anything from shorts and shirts to suits and ties. Whatever you feel comfortable wearing, you won't feel out of place.
Q. Are there Sunday activities for my preschooler or children?
A. Excellent Bible activities are provided for preschoolers and children, birth through grade 5, during both our morning worship hours. Student programming for grades 6-12 are also available.
Q. Do I need to bring a Bible to worship?
A. A Bible is helpful for you to use during the message portion of the service for reference. If you do not have a Bible, copies are available in the lobby for your use. Dr. Merritt teaches from several reputable translations. We recommend both the New International Version (NIV) and the English Standard Version (ESV).
Q. What is Cross Pointe's "style" of music?
A. In terms of music, we don't have a "style" that we stick with, although we do more contemporary praise songs and choruses than hymns. Our desire is that our musical worship be uplifting and create a sense of anticipation for the teaching time in the service. Keeping a variety of both music and media makes each service a unique experience.
Q. What does your church believe about the Bible's teachings?
A. A listing of our core beliefs can be found here. For the best opportunity to understand our church's beliefs and to ask questions, consider attending our Starting Pointe class, held periodically.
Q. How do I find out about what is happening at Cross Pointe Church?
A. Check out our News section. You can also enter your email address in the sidebar at left to subscribe to our weekly email updates.
Q. Where can I find Dr. Merritt on television?
A. Dr. Merritt's messages are broadcast through the Touching Lives ministry. Listings vary by local cable system provider.
