About Our Campus
Our church campus has tons of room to spare, which might make you wonder why we are so "over built". Here's the story: Cross Pointe Church was once home to a guided missile factory! Among the items previously constructed at the facility were the Hellfire anti-tank missile, and more recently, two assembly lines for 500-pound bomb fuses. The church buildings were constructed by a defense contractor who later moved out and left the facility empty.
After several years of attempting to sell the buildings and property, the owner accepted an offer from church members, who purchased the land and buildings and then donated them to the church. Over the last seven years we have renvoated the various portions of the campus to suit the needs of a dynamic and growing church. The missile factory building became our NextGen Building and CarePointe Community Ministry Center. The former warehouse and bomb fuse assembly line became our Worship Center and Preschool space, and the former office buidling now houses our Bible classrooms and offices.
Here and there at the church you can still see a few signs of the campus' former life--like the former Pentagon Briefing Room than is now our Prayer Room, and special guidance system isolated assembly vaults, which now function as storage space. There's even a dummy missile we found on campus when cleaning out one day--but don't worry, it's not armed.
