Ashlenn joined the Cross Pointe team in 2011. She and her parents, Lenn and Cindy, have been at Cross Pointe since the church began. "God has given me an extremely administrative mind. I am very organized and detail oriented," she says. "This is a plus, seeing as how I am watching over the kids in our ministry and handling all of the events for the Children's Ministry. I love working with kids and making our fearless leader's jobs easier. Teaming up with the parents to make an impact in our kids lives is truly a blessing."

Ashlenn became a Christ-follower as a student. "I made a decision to follow Christ at age 6," she recalls. "But I don't think I fully understood what it meant to follow Christ as a young child. When I was a junior in high school here at Cross Pointe, I attended Camp BigStuf with the youth group. That trip completely changed my life. I decided to serve Christ with my everything at that camp. Even though I technically accepted Christ as a 6 year old, I always say I accepted Christ as a junior in high school. That is when my relationship with Him became authentic."

What Ashlenn enjoys most about Cross Pointe is "the community here. We have so many great leaders and attenders. Being able to get to know them and their hearts has been such a positive experience in my life."

Favorite Scripture: Proverbs 16:3. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans."

"I love this verse because it just shows you that your plans are minuscule in comparison to what God has in store for you. If you are completely committing to Christ all that you do, you won't care about controlling your plans. I want God's plans to be my plans."

How Ashlenn likes to spend free time: "I am very crafty. I love painting and making art pieces. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and reading. I also love photography."

Favorite Food: Mediterranean food or pasta

Famous person Ashlenn would like to have met: Mother Teresa

Habit Ashlenn picked up: "I'm a little OCD... just a little."

Something unusual about Ashlenn: "I am half Hawaiian and half caucasian."

Ashlenn's best vacation: "I go to Hawaii every year to visit all of my family, so that would probably be considered my favorite vacation. I love spending time with family."

Right before bed, Ashlenn: "Thanks God for giving me another day to live."
