Beth Beverly
Student Director of Discipleship
Beth Beverly re-joined our staff in 2010, having served at Cross Pointe previously. She enjoys the relationships with students, leaders and parents, and seeing students come to know Christ, as a part of her work in our Student Ministry.
"God has allowed me to go through various trails over the course of my teenage years that have definitely helped equip me to work with students today," Beth explains, "I was that teenager that was always getting into things and yet I had leaders who loved me through it. They taught me how to love as Christ loves. Everything I have had to go through has brought me to this point in life where I am now able to pour my life into students."
Beth came to Christ in 1995. "I grew up going to Church every Sunday and anytime the doors were opened. I was always very active in various ministries but not until August of 1995 did I realize it was all head knowledge and not a heart decision. August 10 ,1995 I went and met with my Student Pastor to talk with him," Beth recalls. "It was in his office that I prayed and asked Christ to come into my heart. I was baptized the following Sunday night."
Beth and her husband, Matt, have been married 14 years and have a five-year-old son, Eli Graham, who they adopted from Guatemala in 2007.

Favorite Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5:17. "What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun!" I read that verse and can't help but smile. What hope and promise we have. We are not trapped in our old life... we have a new life in Him. That's just exciting to me.
How Beth likes to spend free time: "In my free time I love to curl up with a good book, spend time playing with Eli and Matt, being outside, traveling, working on our non-profit organization, Eli's Wish. Anything with my family and friends."
Favorite Food: Spaghetti
Favorite teams: Georgia Football or Duke Basketball
Favorite quote: "It's all good."
Famous person Beth would liked to have met: Michael Jordan
Beth's best vacation: "It's a toss up between our cruise Alaska or our anniversary trip to Costa Rica."
Something about Beth you probably didn't know: "I have a fear of bridges. I don't like being stopped on top of a bridge or underneath them."
Something Beth does right before bedtime: "Think about what needs to be done in the morning and what time do I need to get up in order to make it all happen."
In high school, Beth was most likely to: "Be making my friends laugh in class."
