Update! Next Career Connect Meeting August 11
The August 11 session of Career Connect at Crosspointe Church will start off with a presentation on the “Financial Principles of Stewardship”. The discussion will give insights and information regarding making and keeping your money as well as a possible career opportunity and services offered by a Duluth headquartered business known as Primerica Financial Services. All members of the Church community may benefit from this presentation--not just those in transition.

Primerica Financial Services was founded in Snellville in 1977 and in April of 2010 PRI completed its own highly successful IPO on the NYSE. Topics covered will be a few key financial concepts, such as the role money plays in our lives, understanding your financial house and putting a game plan together, taking control of debt, saving & investments and understanding a ‘Financial Needs Analysis’ used to determine your Financial Independence Number (FIN).

Chris McHugh, SVP, joined Primerica in 1994 and was promoted to his current position in 2004. Chris is responsible for the Primerica offices in Georgia and Virginia. Chris and his wife Patty live in Suwanee, GA. Stewart Woodard, Senior Representative, recently joined Primerica after a long and successful career in the newspaper industry. Like with so many people today, the downturn in the economy has forced new challenges for everyone and Stewart is no exception. Stewart looked outside his “comfort zone” for a new career and made a major shift when he joined Primerica Financial Services. He is excited about his new career and being a part of “Project Atlanta” with Primerica. Steward resides with his wife Monica in Lawrenceville, GA.

The purpose of Career Connect monthly interactive meetings is five-fold:

  • Equip and encourage our members and neighbors in their searches for a new career or job
  • By using the CCN’s six steps to you job search. Help identify your God given talents and calling to assist in your job search
  • Provide a forum for subject matter experts to interact and address strategic and tactical issues, challenges and methods to employ
  • Communicate job opportunities that may come in from church members and other sources
  • Pray for the seekers and ask God to help govern appropriate activities and responses to the job and career search process.

The August 11 session will be held in the Administration Building Theater on the first floor from 6:45 to 9:00 p.m.
