Our discipleship plan for the next generation includes spiritual mile-markers for children and parents. As children move from First Links to Kidz K’Nextion to Shift, Jr. Varsity and Varsity, Cross Pointe’s ministries provide programming to each stage of development. This will assist parents and allow them to know how their child is progressing spiritually.

As a child matures, they will begin to understand spiritual concepts—Who God is, what His plan is for us, and why it is important to follow Him. They’ll also learn why prayer, studying the Bible and serving others is important—and they will have opportunities to apply these principles.

Our desire is to see children come to know Christ as their Lord and Savior, and grow in their knowledge, love and obedience to Him.

Next Generation Ministries are divided into six distinct developmental ages, from birth through high school. At each age, our ministries are shaped by:

• Core concepts. Key biblical principles we want our children to know and understand at their age level.
• Environment. Where and how we teach and model Bible principles to children, both on- and off-campus.
• Partnership. Resources and support we provide parents to teach and disciple their children in the home.
• Involvement. Volunteer roles for adults both on- and off-campus that build healthy spiritual-mentoring relationships.
• Events. Specific age-appropriate activities that help children understand and demonstrate spiritual truths.
• Curriculum. Scripture-based lessons we use in small and large group times to teach core concepts.
