The Clothes Closet began in 2009 to serve our local community with clothing needs. The ministry experienced explosive growth as the needs have nearly exceeded our ability to keep up with demand. Donations of good quality, in-style, gently-used or new clothes and shoes are accepted at the church through donation drops located throughout the campus. We accept clothes for both adults and children.
Open Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to Noon
The Closet is open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until noon. It is located on the Cross Pointe campus adjacent to our Food Pantry ministry. It is available both to church members and those in our local community.
Clothing Items Needed Now
We are currently collecting winter clothes. Our goal is to provide clean, seasonal and up-to-date clothing. Frankly, we sometimes get trashed clothing that we cannot distribute. Bring your clothes, neatly folded or on hangers, new or very gently used shoes and hangers. We accept new (never used) underclothes and socks only.
Volunteers help sort, clean and process the clothes to make them ready to choose and wear. Each week, we invite clients--those needing clothes--to the church to choose from the available selection. Whether it's a parent without resources picking up clothes for their baby or child, a teen in need of clothes for school, or adults in need of clothing for work or home, this ministry serves a vital and simple need.
