On Sunday, December 3, 2017, our Lanier Campus Pastor, Joey Jernigan, announced he will begin a new season of ministry at a church in Colorado. For the last 18 months, Joey has led our Lanier campus, having transitioned onto our staff team when Lanier Islands Community Church voted to become a campus of Cross Pointe Church in June of 2016. Joey made our staff leadership aware of this possibility several weeks prior to his announcement, and has been working with our church leadership to determine the very best decision for our church as well as for his family and personal ministry.

Lanier Campus Merging with Mill Creek
As Joey made his decision and informed our pastoral leaders, they began a discussion as to the best way forward for our Lanier campus. We took into account not only our Lanier attendance and expenses, but a number of great ministry opportunities over the last 18 months where our Lanier and Mill Creek campus had partnered together, including CP Serves and our recent Trunk or Treat. Through prayerful discussion our pastors determined our best immediate choice is to merge our Lanier campus with our Mill Creek campus, and begin meeting together at our Mill Creek location. We brought this idea to the lay leaders at our Lanier campus and they agreed this is the best immediate step for the Lanier campus.

Joining Together Beginning December 17
Beginning Sunday, December 17, our Lanier and Mill Creek campuses will join together and meet at our Mill Creek location. Mill Creek Campus Pastor Chad Logan, along with our Mill Creek leaders and faith family, have been contacting our Lanier partners and are looking forward to warmly welcoming them to our Mill Creek campus. We are all a part of Cross Pointe Church, and we want our Lanier family to feel right at home at our Mill Creek campus.

The Lanier Campus Facility
While we are merging our Lanier and Mill Creek campuses, we have made no determination as to our Lanier campus facilities. For the time being we will keep this facility and maintain it securely. Our prayer is that in the coming weeks and months God will clarify our decisions related to the Lanier campus buildings and property.

Together As a Faith Family
We love our Lanier campus family. Each week the majority of attendees at this campus are involved in some way as volunteers on campus. Each of our Lanier campus family will be invited to participate at our Mill Creek campus.
