Missions and Evangelism Ministry
Impacting our community, nation and world is the focus of our missions area. Through local projects, ongoing education and national and international projects and partnerships, Cross Pointe’s volunteers have a role in taking Christ to our neighbors and the nations. Simply Love Volunteers
There are several Simply Love events scheduled in a year. From repairing homes of the elderly to having a cookout in an apartment comeplex, to working with a new church in Atlanta--there is an activity for everyone. Participants meet on the church campus around 8:30 a.m. on a Saturday, carpool or caravan to their location, and work until about 1:00 p.m. Look for sign up opportunities in the Worship Center lobby and online a few weeks prior to each scheduled date.

• When: Saturdays, several events are scheduled per year (You are not required to volunteer for all three)

Multi-Ethnic Ministry
There are many different ways to get involved in our Multi-Ethnic Ministry: Teaching English to immigrants, leading Bible studies, cooking hotdogs at block parties, sharing your testimony… there is something for everyone!

Life Group Missions Representative
The Life Group Missions Representative will work with the Missions Staff, the Missions Strategy Team, and their Life Group to design and implement a global strategy for their Life Group. Representatives will challenge members of their Life Group to get involved in various mission projects adopted by our church and to also look for new ministry opportunities in their communities. This position must be filled with the approval of the Life Group Leader.

Food Pantry
The Cross Pointe Food Pantry opened in the fall of 2008 to help the needs of our congregation and community. It’s open Wednesdays and Saturdays to the public, and most volunteers serve on these days. Monday Food Pantry volunteers are responsible for collecting the food from locations on the church campus, and counting and sorting the items. Wednesday and Saturday Food Pantry volunteers are responsible for greeting and consulting clients, updating client files, pulling food items and delivering food to the clients’ cars.

Clothes Closet
The Clothes Closet started as one of our Mission Day projects and has expanded tremendously. We are open on the church campus to further assist the community on a permanent basis. We collect and distribute clean, seasonal, up-to-date clothes to encourage and restore dignity to individuals and families who cannot afford new clothes. Volunteers are responsible for sorting, organizing and maintaining incoming clothes by age and gender.
